Accelerate Your Professional Training

Training Programs for Commercial PilotsThe P3 Professional Pilot Program puts commercial flight training in the fast lane. We do so without sacrificing quality, so the program is intense. If you’re serious about becoming a professional pilot, this program can train you faster and cheaper with a commitment to a full-time, in-depth training program.

Four Stages to Professional Pilot Status

The 38-week program includes four phases. The first ten weeks will focus on training to operate with a Private Pilot License (PPL). This certification is the foundation for all future aviation training, so it’s also the most important. During this phase, student aviators should focus on establishing effective and safe best practices as pilots.

The second phase of the P3 program takes place over eight weeks and trains newly licensed private pilots to operate in non-visual conditions using navigation and communication equipment. By the end of this phase, students will earn their Instrument Flight Rating (IFR) to supplement their existing Private Pilot License (PPL).

Next, pilots pursue commercial licensing for single-engine and multi-engine aircraft (CSEL/CMEL). This phase requires twelve weeks, during which pilots perfect every component needed to excel as commercial pilots. Remember that accepting payment for flight services without a commercial pilot license is illegal.

The final phase of the P3 Program lasts eight weeks and teaches pilots how to operate as a flight instructor. Certified Flight Instructors (CFIs) share their training with others as a career. This option is ideal as an entry point into the profession since pilots can continue to accrue the flight hours needed to pursue future positions. Airlines, for instance, require a minimum of 1,500 flight hours for all pilot applicants.

Prerequisites for P3 Participation

The intensity of the P3 Program dictates that we require participants to demonstrate grit and potential for success before we sign them up. Consider the following prerequisites:

  • 18 years old, minimum
  • High school graduate or GED recipient (college preferred)
  • One personal reference + one professional reference
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
  • Clean criminal background check
  • Clean FAA record

  • Available full-time, able to participate in 4-5 flight lessons and 10-20 hours of ground training every week
