Commercial Multi-Engine Add-On LaGrange, Georgia
When you’re ready to level up as a commercial pilot with a multi-engine add-on to your pilot license, pursue these credentials at Paragon Flight in LaGrange, Georgia, for a fun and successful experience.
Adding the multi-engine rating onto your existing license can be pretty straightforward. You can complete this training in about a week with us. Allow us to create your bespoke plan to address your schedule and prior experience best. The most essential element of the process is ensuring that pilots are ready to perform with safety and skill as the priorities. With a one-on-one program, we’ll pair you with a fight instructor who is qualified, dedicated and well-suited to your learning preferences.
Multi-engine flight differs from single-engine flight for apparent reasons: twice the power equals greater speed and higher heights. However, the difference also means that when one engine fails, the situation creates an asymmetry that can cause a loss of control. Training here with Paragon Flight will fully prepare you to address one-engine operations in all scenarios and stages of flight.
The multi-engine add-on program will include:
- 11-15 hours of multi-engine flight training
- 5 hours of ground training
- 1 ½ hours for the checkride administered by an FAA evaluator
- Supplemental training materials
Multi-engine training takes place in the standard for the industry: the Piper PA-44-180 Seminole. This aircraft set the literal benchmark regarding dependability, safety, and predictable handling. The plane is made of all metal and has simple systems. We house models that are 2022 and newer with Garmin G1000 NXi avionics and GFC700 autopilot. The features of this plane include a maximum cruise of 162 ktas, a useful load of 1028 lbs., a takeoff distance of 2,200 ft., a landing distance of 1,490 ft., and a fuel capacity of 108 US gallons.
Paragon Flight is a premier FAA-authorized Part 141 and Part 61 flight school with three locations. In addition to the LaGrange, GA location, we also have a flight school in Fort Myers and Punta Gorda, FL. The LaGrange location is our newest. Its home is the LaGrange-Callaway Airport (LGC). This location is ideally positioned among Atlanta, Columbus, Montgomery, and Birmingham, allowing it to provide aviation to several metropolitan areas.
The airport itself features two runways. The first features precision approach path indicators at either end of its 6,499 feet, and the second is 5,000 feet long. With 300 out of 365 days with clear conditions, students have no shortage of opportunities for flight training.
From a great location with modern facilities, cooperative weather, and congestion-free skies to excellent instructors, curriculum training aircraft, and custom programs, Paragon Flight’s advantages promise our students a successful experience as long as they do their part in pursuing flight credentials.
In addition to multi-engine training, we offer private pilot training, instrument flight rating, commercial license training for single and multi-engine, and training to become a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI, CFII, MEI) for all types of training.
