Flight Lessons In Columbus, Georgia
Your dreams of flight may be for your own personal or professional goals, but the lessons that you participate in for training must be the best, like those provided at Paragon Flight in the area around Columbus, Georgia. Our location in LaGrange, GA, will provide you with experiences that are unforgettable and successful in preparation for flight.
The LaGrange location of Paragon Flight operates out of the LaGrange-Callaway Airport (LGC). The airport’s positioning is centrally located near Atlanta, Columbus, Montgomery, and Birmingham.
The airport experiences little air congestion and flight-friendly weather for 300+ days of the year. These conditions, along with the elements of flight training that we have perfected, allow us to meet the needs of all pilot candidates.
We operate under authorization by the FAA under FAR, Federal Aviation Regulations, Parts 141 and 61. Part 141 guidelines dictate a strict syllabus that programs must follow and include full-time status, while Part 61 guidelines allow for one-on-one training and flexible scheduling and pacing.
The AOPA, or Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, is the leading advocacy group for aviation in the United States. We’re proud to have been recognized by this group several times over the years for the quality of our training.
Fly for a Living
Becoming a commercial pilot is an achievable goal. Paragon Flight provides all of the required training steps, and we have a program meant for ambitious pilots to save time and money. The P3 Professional Pilot Program allows candidates to progress from no experience to becoming commercially certified with flight instructor credentials in 38 weeks.
We base this program on the value of quality training rather than quantity of training, assistance locating and securing appropriate financial resources, and developing professional leadership and character qualities.
P3 Program Schedule of Training
- Week 0-10 – Private Pilot License (PPL)
- Week 11-18 – Instrument Flight Rating (IFR)
- Week 19-30 – Commercial Pilot License (Single-Engine and Multi-Engine, CSEL/CMEL)
- Week 31-38 – Certified Flight Instructor (CFI)
P3 Program Prerequisites:

- One personal reference

Once you’ve completed this program and you’d like to continue toward becoming an airline pilot, you’ll need to earn an Airline Transport Pilot Certification and log 1,500 flight hours before applying with an airline. Acting as a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) is an excellent entry point into the field because you’ll be able to log flight hours while perfecting your skills, sharing your passion, and making a living. We even give graduates of the P3 program a preferential look when they apply with us for flight instructor positions.
Affording flight instruction will require that you source and secure financing. For some, this financing may mean traditional student loans, grants, and aviation scholarships; for others, GI benefits and personal loans. Our team can help identify, apply, and gain sufficient financing to make your flight dreams come true.
